As a result, various guidelines detailing the ingredients and preparation of safe and effective hand sanitizer formulations have been released by agencies and governments.
Hand sanitizer formulations exhibit ‘-cidal’ and ‘-static’ activities against a broad range of microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Sanitizers act as disinfectants and can reduce the number of viable microorganisms on the skin. Since they are used on the skin, they are also classed as cosmetic products.
What is sanitizer testing?
